Old Treasures

Some gems from the archives:

Joe and his surfboards - Sunk (2008)

Titled after the trade I made for it... Spy's (2008)

Something about New England, harbors, boats... always a special place in my heart.
Michael Brandon (2006)

Simply titled, but effectively conveyed (2006)
Patrick has this one

A Father's Day gift - Good Morning (2005)
My favorite of nightscapes; mountains. Vanilla Bean Noel (2005)

Clever puns painted onto the surfboard named after its shape. Joe's Fish (2005)

The Premier Cru Society, Long Island NY - a friend from college commissioned me to illustrate a logo for his vineyard that was named after his sister. As far as I knew this place was sold shortly after, until my mom was in LI and saw this sign. (2004)

Wine

Shared Studio (2007) - This was almost donated to Spiro, but at the last minute, and due to popular demand, we decided it looked better in our kitchen.

MEXICO

This is Baja Breeze (2008). After experiencing the zen of this amazing spot last year, I was moved to document its memories, smells, sounds, and light in the only manner I saw fit; a painting. I only post it here now because I'm headed back down on Thursday for a very special birthday.

The best nation is Donation

Donations Feb 2009 - The whole reason for this blog stemmed from parting with these three pieces. Recently donating them to Spiro Arts in Salt Lake City (http://www.spiroarts.org/) for their March Gala inspired me to track my work with a little more integrity (names? dates? did I move with that one?... )

Bow (2005)
Black's Beach Cobra (2008 )
Blood Sport NYE (2006)

Practice makes perfect

Summer 2007 -  a Patagonia-catalog-influenced practice session to remind myself how to enjoy painting again. Moon lit sailing, underwater exploration, depth of field patience, and oars.

Flu Concepts

For a recent concept project we were asked to create and present potential ad campaigns for a nationwide clinic with a focus on Flu. The attached germs are what would potentially infest the marketing collateral across the board... It's still undecided whether or not you'll see these little guys in your local super stores.

Welcome!

Welcome to my NEW home for all things art related. In an effort to transition away from my outdated purple website, it's my goal to now post and dear-diary here about my past, present and future artistic successes.
